Cracking of My Brain

Basically, yesterday was just compiling up of all our thoughts as to how to improve on the content wise, we didn't really touched on the sequence yet.
Today, was the day when we actually cracked our brains and really sat down and thought of how the sequence would be. We will be answering some of the questions that we thought of, just to name a few ; Why we entered MOI? Difficulties faced and how we solved it? and What we felt about this whole project?

For the introduction, like what i had mentioned in my previous blog that we had decided to forgo the usage of the lion thingy, instead it ended up between a battle of Aaron's and my idea. I was saying maybe having four stones and one stone would fall and form our group's name. Aaron voiced out saying that four stones would be too much. He said it would be better if only one stone then the stone would drop and replace the head of our logo then forming the group's name. It was rather tough to decide which one we should use so we decided to seek Yi Chuin's opinion once she came back from Malaysia.

Anyway, our content was totally new except that some of our previous ideas were reused. Now, when Yi Chuin flipped the page, it will be me pushing the door and i will be joining Mr. Ronald's class instead. I then thought of maybe we can zoom into one of the student's sketchbook. At the first page, the drawing would be a stick man or something then as the pages flip it will be more detailed. Aaron added that we could add dates to indicate how long we have improved in our drawings. I also thought of a person taking out that detailed artwork from the sketchbook and placed it right infront of the computer and the paper with the drawings on would then transform to be the screen. The next frame would be showcasing our exercises that we did in Maya.

Following next, Ting Yu thought of zooming out, showing the person talking more of how he/she feels and then show the process of doing flash animation. Ting Yu also suggested that maybe one of us could grab the camera and talk facing towards the camera(audience) excitingly, which i find the idea to be good. We then thought of the person who will be grabbing the camera to lead the audience all the way to the ideation room, where Mr. Alan would be talking more of the module itself and we will be showcasing our ideation works. We will be telling this to Yi Chuin what we thought of and tomorrow we will really finalise our content.

After the discussion of what the sequence would be like, Lecturer Wahidah came up to us and commented that she wanted us to work on our objective, making sure that our production will meet it and also finalised the message that we wanted to convey through the video itself. She also asked us to work on our opening sequence which would be settled once we tell Yi Chuin about it. She also told us to allocate our work but in more detail. So this was what we came up with:

This was what the finalised role would be. Lecturer Wahidah also informed us that a draft script should be made where we have to divide the paper into two columns writing about how our visual would be like and will there be any audio. She told us that we have to do this before we can do the real production.

Soon after, i then assigned or rather told Ting Yu to do a storyboard of what we had discussed today so that Yi Chuin would have a clearer picture of what we had discussed. The storyboard could be seen in Ting Yu's blog but it seems to be abit too light. Good job Ting Yu!!

As for me, i was to do the timeline. For me, i intended to make it very detail. I divided the paper of the roles and started to write out who to do what and at what time. It was really frustrating having to do it alone. However, luck was at my side. I managed to do the timeline for one week and i still left one week and five days. Yi Chuin volunteered to help me, so we decided to meet up early tommorrow to continue with the schedule.
