Sad to say, early in the morning, I had already encountered difficulties with my MMFund exercise. Ting Yu was kind enough and came up to level six to help me. After that, we headed down to the 'MOI' project room. We showed our mounted photos and further discussed and concluded as to which photos to be used.
Today, our objective or rather what we intended to accomplish was to film the mannequin dancing right beside the credits and of the door as well. Indeed, we got some reference for the dance moves. However, we were not really satisfied with it. Hence, researching on the dance moves again. We went to this website which was www. newgrounds.com and managed to find this amazing clip entitled "O.N.E". It was a dance battle between a mannequin and a puppet. I must say it was truly AWESOME.
Here is the link: CLICK ME
We also managed to see a clip where a human being actually dances like as though his bone is so soft. Pretty scary though but definitely superb! He can dance very extraordinary!!
I believed it was through his dance clip that influenced Aaron and Ting Yu to try standing on their heads. Crazy but Cool!
Not to mention that we also had intentions to film Yi Chuin in the 3d animation room but it was still occupied so we have to postpone filming that particular scene.
It was settled. At least now we know what the mannequin would be doing beside the credits. But the problem has yet to come. We have forgotten that it should only be one minute long and the dance moves were quite long I guess.
If you were to enter the link that I had mentioned earlier, the mannequin actually dances with many styles such as popping and even 'ballet'. I initially suggested that the mannequin may dance lady-like. However, my group members said it was really tedious to follow the exact dance moves of the clip so we forgo that idea. Seeing the ending part of the clip, we intended and finalized to follow 30seconds before the ending. After finalizing the moves, we headed down to the bookshop and I bought 2 black a3 mounting boards for the stage for the mannequin to dance. But it turns out to be that there wasn't enough space. We had completely forgotten that the mannequin was supposed to dance on the left. So we ended up using the a2 mounting boards in the 2d animation room. Gosh~! My money just flew away like that.
Anyway, Ting Yu, Yi Chuin and I did the stop motion of the puppet and I must say it was really tough. Just one wrong move or if the mannequin changes its position would break the sequence. However, when we got to view it in the camera, it was cool. I left the 2d animation room for awhile and send my MMfund assignments to Mr. Sam on the 6th level. Both Yi Chuin and Ting Yu continued the stop motion and it somehow turned out weird, closer to the end. Ting Yu suggested and volunteered to bring black strings to tie the joints of the mannequin so as to control it better.
So we then decided to just try out the scene of the door as we were the only ones left in the 2d animation room. We placed the animated door on the computer screen and off the lights to see if it would look nice. It sure looks nice. Thanks to the help of Aaron where he actually adjusted the don't know what of the screen.
After we had tested the scene of the door, we headed back home and along the way, i saw a red car driving past the pillar which was kind of weird. I think it may be due to my tiredness and lack of sleep that made me have these illusions I guess. But upon hearing this drastic and terrifying news from me, Aaron could actually say that the ghost would haunt me. Thanks a lot ah...
We had further discussion online where Yi Chuin told us what Lecturer Wahidah had replied in the email and mentioned that she seems like she has been repeating the same answer over and over again.
There it was... My time to sleep.
