Anyway, want to wish everyone out there, a very good holiday celebration where you all are able to spend time with your loved ones. Enjoy your holidays!!

God Bless

Yay! Last Day!!

Today, we are supposed to hand in our prepoduction post package by 2.30pm.

Lucky for me, i managed to source out and found all the things that we have done earlier such as the powerpoint slides , timeline and storyboard and many others . Indeed, i felt panicky at that time as our concept was still undecided due to the fact that our modules are now not arranged in chronological order where our previous concept was based on that.

I just head along and went to school and do my mm fund first where i message Yi chuin to bring all the animation that we have done. When she didn't reply as her battery was empty, i wad indeed shocked or rather more worried.

Anyway, we managed to type out our concept which was reliving the experience and thanks to Yi Chuin and Ting Yu, we managed to hand in the post production.

Thank Goodness man!!

Guess what!! It is holiday le. YAY!!

But still have to hand in the blog on Monday. Lol.. But i am really glad that holiday last for a month as i really lack of sleep having to cope both modules and worst still is the fact that my mm fund is at 9 am.

Means i only got like 4-5 hrs sleep a day.
Waiting to sleep whole day!!

Pray i will dream something nice

It is NOW! [ Presentation day~!! ]

Gosh! In the morning, i did on my mm fund where i have to do a web site. It was indeed very stress. Anyway, when i got up to the 3d animation room, i was more stress but emotionless [ means can't see my emotion ] as the video was still rendering and our camera was with Germaine's group instead.

But i bet Yi Chuin would be more stress having to see this happening before her very eyes. Anyway, we could only wait for Germaine's group to render finish before we can put our rendered video into the tape. But i must say, that we really have to thank God that the time was post poned to 1pm instead of 12.30pm. If not we would be late.

The moment of truth, where we actually sat and went to LT 25. We were given the peer assessment paper and i graded them accordingly to what i felt. Anyway, the clips that everyone did was awe- inspiring. I especially like Apple's group which is really very funny, especially the part when had to do the chop and punch the clay. HILIARIUS man!!

I also like Boon Bin's group when Boon Bin had to skipped like a girl and some funny script that Andrea said and of course many more clips which were awesome as well. But not to forget, i believe it was Raj's group that really impressed the lecturers.

To the extent of Mr. Ronald even clapping for them.

I must say that they really did it well and i still like the lamp the most. It is really AWESOME!!

Really think that i have learnt through alot through this whole process that even working with your clicks be it being close to them, we may also encounter problems and even differences in the thinking. Indeed, the experience was tedious but yet we are able to overcome it. I believe everyone did a great job.

So what are you waiting for.
GIVE YOURSELF AROUND OF APPLAUSE~!!

YAY~!! The ending is near.. WOOT!! I mean HOLIDAYS..

Come on Holidays come and grab me..

I am waiting.

The Big Day is COMING soon!

Today, Ting Yu got to match the images of the credits to the song that she had chosen previously. I believe it must be tough on her, having to match the song together with the music.

Anyway, some of the sound effects that i found yesterday were put in good use where Aaron literally used it for the sound when the chi bi puppet hit the 1m painting.

While both Yi Chuin and Aaron tried to make the clip shorter still. It was indeed tough for them i believe and furthermore, the premire pro actually hang and had to be closed. Aaron was indeed having a headache at that point of time as he didn't really saved the recent edited one. Which means he has to edit again.

I was there giving my opinions as to which should be shorter. By five thirty, Ting Yu had to leave for a urgent meeting i think. While i went up to mm fund room to start doing my mm fund if not i wouldn't have the time to complete it.

Both Yi Chuin and Aaron continued with the editing, by the time i came back down to the 3d animation room, both Yi Chuin and I did the credits together, as in who should we credit and all. After editng the clip, Yi Chuin was to edit the clip with the ideation photo and some animation to be inserted on to the clip as she had after effects at home. Cool.. Must be tiring man.

Anyway, i got to sleep le.
Lack of sleep.

Almost completed~

I must say and proud to anounce that we have almost completed our animation. But i really have to admit that i was kind of slow in the animation. We still left the animating of the puppet where she would pull the credit screen down but to make our lives easier, we decided to make the chi bi puppet pulling down the credits instead. And decided to drop the idea of animating the puppet at Yi Chuin's and of several other scenes as well.

Indeed, changes were made to save our time but still being able to portray and convey the same message that we wanted to put across. One thing for sure, which i will remember it for life. When we had to take the photo of the credits frame by frame. Being inspired by one Japanese music mtv, we actually did try it out ourselves.

I had to stand and hold the notepad for like thirty minutes and not mentioning that i have to stand in that position without or rather with only the slightest movement. Ting Yu also helped me to flip the pages whereas Yi Chuin was taking photo of the credits. It was definitely tough and tedious but worth it.

Aaron was editing the video. Cool Huh! He actually managed to cut the film from a 16 minutes show to 11 minutes.

Good Job Brother

Anyway, i was told to find the sound for the flicking of the puppet, where the stone would fall and the puppet hitting the 1m painting and many other more. It was indeed very tough having to find these sound effects as usually if we were to find the one that we liked, it wouldn't be free. While i was searching for the sound effects, Yi Chuin and Ting Yu were actually importing the photos that we took for the credits to be transferred into the computer.. However, the size of the photos were too big that they had to edit and adjust the size of the image in order to be able to edit the photos in flash. Aaron was still editing the video. Same as always, the security guard had to shoo us out so we had no choice but to leave and depart.

Anyway, i am getting kind of tired.
Going to sleep now

Tiring Day Indeed

* Yawn * Eyes weigh a tonne.

Anyway, once we woke up, we went to Aaron's work place and continue to animate. We got distracted abit too, due to the fact that Aaron's work place has alot of computers, the screen hooked our eyes.

Soon after, Ting Yu, then me and Yi Chuin left his work place. I got to go to KFC first and tabao food for my family members then headed down to New Creation church.

The message was about tongues and the holy spirit. It was indeed a powerful message where the tongues can actually heal our body and spirit. In fact, assisting us in our every motion.

Haha.. as you can see this blog is short. I have to continue animating.
See you

Scary~~

Hehex.. Today we got to reshoot the scene where Aaron would hold the storyboard and also the scene where Aaron, Ting Yu and I would be speaking.

Indeed, it was much easier filming it down due to the fact that we had done it before. However, before the fliming even started. We faced difficulties and rather reconsider and discussed of how the angles would look like; not forgetting that we had to bear in mind of the puppet's point of view and for the transition as well. After that, we headed back to the 3d animation room where we took voice over of both Ting Yu and Aaron talking about photography. The voice over turned out to be excellent and funny as well.

We also wanted to film the part where Yi Chuin would be showcasing and talking about animation but it was too late. The mac room were all locked so we had to take this scene the next day. Due to this, we tried releasing our stress by taking photos. I must say that photos can really show or destroy a person's image and may even show a false front. They actually took a photo of me where i really looked like beheaded.

Evidence:

After releasing our stress, we headed down to Aaron's place where we could animate together and give advice to one another.
Now as i speak, we are actually animating. We have already divided among ourselves as to which animation we should do and tomorrow or rather Monday, Aaron will be editing the film. Not forgetting that we still left Drawing Essentials and 3d animation shot.. Hmm let's see how things go..

Not to mention, that when we were out of school, going for dinner; i saw a lady facing face down on the floor. It was really scary and pitiful indeed. Just hope nothing happens to her.

I also manage to see Ting Yu animating the puppet flying and it was cute.
Need to continue with animating.

Weird INDEED~!

It was a new discovery for me.

Upon waiting for bus 23 to arrive, i saw something strange. There was this lady, most probably in her late thirties with a very ancient hairdo and she was carrying a baby. The thing that made me pondered was the fact that why was she carrying a doll baby instead of a real one. In fact, she treated the doll so well that she even talked to it.

Weird but definitely something you won't get to see everyday.
Anyway, everyone was staring at her with curiosity. I have to admit even i did that.

Soon i reached school and attended mm fund. After mm fund, i headed down to the 3d animation room, where i saw Ting Yu and Yi Chuin talking to Lecturer Wahidah and informing her of what we will be doing today. Rendering of the edited video was finally accomplished; thanks to the help of both Lecturer Wahidah and Peng as well. However, it turned out that the rendered video was too long and audio was not present. The video was actually 16minutes long.

So yup! We have to try ways and means to cut it short. I, too also agree that the part of both Mr. Ronald and Mr. Julian's scene were kind of draggy and long as well. So bearing this in mind, our group had another discussion; listing out the changes to be done and what not to be cut off. The detailed discussion could be seen in Yi Chuin's blog. We also told and give our honest opinions that the stone that Yi Chuin animated look abit like a potatoe.

To Yi Chuin: Thanks for animating it. Good job man.

We then took turns to trace out the puppet for the credits. But both yi Chuin and I found out that Ting Yu had actually draw some frames wrongly.

To Ting Yu: Good job for the drawngs as well.

Soon after, while i was doing my mm fund- Yi Chuin came up to us and poured out her thoughts to us today [which was kind of late ] stating that she wasn't really satisfied with some of the scenes, resulting us to reshoot more scenes which i felt that it was a good thing too. We reshoot the door part and did some experimenting where we actually off and on the lights, giving off this flickering effect and eerie atmosphere. Cool man!

Once again, i felt i have become a model where Sholleh and Aaron took photos of me and fan my hair to give a nicer effect.

Here are just some photos that were taken:
Sad to say, i delete it le.. as in accidentally place it in school computer..

Anyway, i got to sleep le.
Lack of brain juice

A Heavy PRICE TO PAY

Woot! Remember in the previous days, where i actually did my mmfund slides? Today was the day where i actually had to present on my web site ideas and the concept as well. I strongly believed that my presentation turned out well i hope.

After presenting, i headed down to the 3d animation room where i was supposed to traced or rather add in details to the stick man that Ting Yu had done as i was known to be good in copying. Anyway, it was really tedious for me as being a so- called perfectionist or maybe not; it really frustrates me when i were to see that the mannequin was out of proportion and not the same size.

I really felt restless by then and Ting Yu was actually very good to give me a helping hand where she actually drew a total of 144 frames. Just imagine that! The best thing is- she was able to do so within two days. I must say that she really has the determination. I think it is also due to the fact that i had to do many frames that demoralised me as well..

One thing for sure.

GOOD JOB TING YU.

We also finally got to render our edited clip. But i'm really not sure why but is God trying to tell us something? We actually had to render like more than 7 times but yet it faces this unknown error where we actually gave up rendering and would like to seek for help tomorrow instead.

[ Extra noose : Return Aunt's camera, turned out to be spoilt - the camera couldn't zoom in and out anymore.

I learnt and paid a heavy price where i actually had to fork out $500 from my own money.

The lesson that i have learnt, is to treasure and take care of people things like as though it is of our own and one more thing that money is not everything LOVE is.

Ask yourself this question. What if you were to be wealthy rich but you have no love at all? How would you feel?

Do hope you will take the time to ponder about this. ]

Cool~! Diploma SHOW!

First thing in the morning, i rushed down to the 2d animation room, where it could be seen and i mean- finally seen that Aaron was transferring the clips into his laptop due to the previous laggy computer which took so long to render.

At the same time, Ting Yu was still drawing out the stick man on the stack of paper or rather a note pad instead. And Yi Chuin was animating the chi bi puppet where she had to walk through the storyboard. As for me, i was still doing the modified version of the stick man or rather trying out which moves would be better for the puppet.

Not to mention that i had actually suggested that maybe the puppet will be falling on it's knees with one hand where the floor could be seen shaking - as i wanted the dramatic effect. However, the idea was not put to action as it was too tedious. I also did my mm fund slides as well.

By the time we had completed our tasks, it was around five plus, we had to go. YOU GUESSED IT!! My whole group members were involved in the diploma show. HA! I must say that it was indeed tiring but definitely worth it. I, being the Student Ambassador, got to wear very formal clothes and was assigned to tell people to go up to level four where they have a display of both IMD and IAD products/ things. Anyway, it was indeed tiring having to stand at that exact spot for like several hours and the worst part was when i had to move my position.

Guess again! This time i was standing right beside the toilet. Quite funny. I got to answer some questions the guests asked and indeed; there was one whom complained that the map wasn't clear and that why was only VSC and ADM allowed to see the fashion show and to sit on the chairs while the rest of the courses couldn't. This were just feed backs given by my classmates and even my mm fund lecturer as well.

The sad thing was, i did not have the chance to see the 'show' as i was stationed inside the 'hall' of PID. Anyway, after an exhausting day, Sholleh was actually inspired by the female models and even mentioned that their legs were nice. Sholleh experimented some hairstyles onto Yi Chuin and i just stood there and saw his amazing hairstyle creation. It was indeed interesting.

Hehex.. Anyway, i got to go le.
Have to complete my mm fund slides.

Interim Assessment Day- Again

Just as i woke up, i immediately called Aaron to see if he was at school editing the video. I called umpteen number of times but to no avail, the call went unanswered. I even went to panic mode but luckily at around nine plus, he sent me a message that he is on the way to school. I was more calm then; knowing that he was awake and preparing to edit our film. But things took to a wrong turn, when i received a message from Aaron thirty minutes later that he would have to attend his morning class.

There it was, REALLY IN PANIC MODE. I was told that he was only able to edit just a few or some of the clip. But seriously, i have to thank God that Yi Chuin actually took the effort to come down earlier and helped edit the video instead. She managed to speed up the clip and remove the audio as it would surely sound funny. However, due to the fact that the audio is needed and is compulsory, i told Yi Chuin to 'get back' the audio again.

The worst thing was when we wanted to render the edited clip, it took a long time and i really mean long time. So what we had to do was to actually transfer the files to another computer and render it in Raj's laptop as it would render faster.

Thanks Raj for your help and Wendy for your hard disk.

Anyway, i believed the Interim Assessment went pretty well as in not as bad as i had expected. It turned out that we could only show the unfinished edited work on Raj's laptop. I was indeed glad when i heard that Lecturer Wahidah saying that our film has the potential if we were to really edit it that is.

Elaborating further, we had actually wanted all of us to present but due to the fact that Lecturer Wahidah wanted the presentation to be rather short and the video is more concentrated and focused on, we decided to let Aaron present everything instead.

Haha.. Sorry Aaron, but you did a great job in presenting.

Like i had mentioned before; i will add the slides here.
Here it goes:

Things we have done

•Animating of the door
• ‘Flowy’ journey around the bridge
• Introduction of all members
• Scene of Drawing Essentials
• Scene of Animation Fundamentals
• Scene of Ideation
• Photos displayed on table

Things we have done (2)

•Flipping photos of Ting Yu running
• Scene of Video Fundamentals
• Scene of 2D Animation
• Flicking of the puppet( Video only )
• Scene where we spoke about MOI project 1
• Part where we paused at Yi Chuin’s art work

Problems we faced

•Having to fight our way against the noisy background
• Flipping of Ting Yu’s images
• Ending credits of the mannequin
• Camera unable to detect our fire wire
• Unable to decide which angle would best portray our message

How we solved it?

•Waited till the scene was quiet / Talked louder than the noise ‘provided’
• Decided to film Ting Yu running and print the selected images out instead
• Draw mannequin frame by frame
• Shared or borrowed others group fire wire as the fire wires were out of stock
• Voting were made (fixing on majority)

Resulted- Changes

•Filmed Ting Yu running through the alley
• Transit where she enters the video fundamental room with the use of a door
• Ending credits- drawing it out frame by frame [ initially wanted to do stop motion ]
• Not doing the many videos becoming MOI word and techniques learnt in 2d fund.

Things to be completed

•Voice over of Photography ( Convo. between Ting Yu and Aaron )
• Photos
• Animating the puppet pulling down the credits
• Ending credits
Chi bi mannequin

Our Goal

•Stone animation - Saturday
• Voice over of Photography ( Convo. between Ting Yu and Aaron ) - Tuesday
• Photos - Next Monday
• Animating the puppet pulling down the credits - Next Monday
• Ending credits - Next Wednesday
Chi bi mannequin - Next Wednesday

After the presentation, i really felt that everyone have progressed tremendously. I personally liked Snap's group the most of their content where they actually clear doubts of those students outside of TP and of the parents' as well. Not forgetting that their flash was superb; especially the part where the foot could be seen and subject could be seen at the bottom of the feet.

I also liked Raj's group, the part where the scrolls came stumbling down, as well as the part where Gregory used his hands to find the scrolls; the sound effect was indeed AWESOME. Not forgetting that i also liked the part where they actually placed the 3d lamp onto the table and of the scene of Jeremy in the dark room.

Last at not least, Germaine's group! It was hilarious indeed. Especially the part where Germaine had to chase after the butterfly and Jasmine could be clearly seen holding the butterfly. The part where Yuan Ming was hit in the eye and had to run so far and many places was funny too.

GREAT JOB EVERYONE. It must be very tiring but worth it.

Anyway after the Interim, Ting Yu continued doing the stick man on the paper while Yi Chuin tried looking for Nafisah to solve the Maya problem and tried animating the chi bi. I was also trying to do a better version of the stick man [ experimenting ]. Aaron was waiting for the files to be transferred. He hex.. While waiting, i managed to finish watching Howl's Moving Castle.. LOL....

Not forgetting the fact that i met up with my aunt and she complained that my house was messy, depicting what a person you are. So what she did was to actually tidy up my table and asked me to enter this site : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QPr2YMexlE

Have to continue doing my MM fund.

Heart Pumping FASTER

The time is drawing closer... Closer to an Assessment you have never thought of it before. An Assessment that is ... the Interim Assessment. Haha.. Okay, i must admit i am pretty lame but i was trying to write it in a way that gives off an 'epic' feeling.

Hope i did accomplishment that.

Anyway, this time round, i was more prepared and less nervous for the Interim Assessment; thanks to yesterday's meeting. The moment i woke up, i worked on my MM Fund power point slides and headed off straight to the design school's canteen where i brought along my family members to dine along with me. It was cool indeed. It was really rare having to eat in school with my family members.

After enjoying a delicious meal, i set off to the 2d animation room and was once again glad to see Ting Yu doing a stick man onto pieces of paper as a guide line for the ending credits.

Way to go girl.

Indeed, i have to agree with Yi Chuin that Ting Yu has the patience and is really good in animating. As for Yi Chuin, i truly believe that she is a kind of person who would explore things and get out of her comfort zone. She [ Yi Chuin ] showed me the stone introduction that she had animated and also shared the problems that she had faced such as ; the shape of stone would change once it is rotated. Therefore, resulting to the delay of the completed animation.

Great job Yi Chuin, you sure have done us proud.

At the mean time, Aaron was trying and figuring out why his hard drive couldn't be detected. Whereas me, i was doing the power point slides, asking my group members questions here and there to be included in the slides and also showed and asked them if the power point slides would be better with a background that i found on yahoo.

This is the image that i found:

Indeed, many positive comments were heard saying that it would look better with the image. Guess what! If you were to read in my previous blog, Aaron had already volunteered to decorate the slides but then, i am not sure why; he passed me the job again.

During the whole time, i was writing out points for the slides, Ting Yu was doing the stick man still and Yi Chuin started animating the chi bi puppet which was very cute indeed, whereas Aaron began to edit the video clip. Anyway, i managed to show Ting Yu a song that i liked and she said it was more of a song for drama series. * Clue* [Can be heard when you play Cabel.]

We also told Aaron which part of the film we wanted, in hoping that he would be able to complete editing it for the Interim. The moment i saw him taking both the software Premiere and After Effects, i was happy as i thought he would be editing the video at home but it later saddens me when i discovered that he actually had plans to edit tomorrow morning, the day of the Interim itself.

My heart nearly broke to pieces upon knowing this and in fact he is dining with his sister at around nine plus where he could actually still edit the film.

Now as i speak, i am praying real hard that he would be able to wake up early and edit it on time. If not we are done for and i really mean it as done for.

He hex.. I did told Yi Chuin that i have to leave earlier due to the fact that i have to complete my mm fund slides and as well as decorating the Interim slides. However, Ting Yu distracted me by playing Howl's Moving Castle and i watched it throughout the night till the security guard had to chase us away.

Man... The show is nice.

*Recommended to watch it.

Anyway, i made my dad angry as he couldn't see me = more time wasted = went back home late.

Uh Huh! You think i will stop here, but i faced problems for the Interim power point slides. Due to the fact that i have added the background; the problem is the fonts are hardly visible. I had to change the opacity of the back ground which didn't turn out well and also tried mixing and matching the colour of the fonts to the background. Finally, we have settled using white fonts instead.

Anyway i got to continue doing the slides now.

The TREASURE embedded in our very LIVES

As usual, every Sunday i would attend church service in hope of getting new revelation which would refresh my mind and give me peace and rest.

Indeed, i learnt something important through the message itself. It is about love and the treasure that a man found was actually us; on a simpler note -[ treasure = us and man = God ] . Cool right? It goes to show that our lives are very valuable and that we should treasure our lives and not taking things for granted.

Anyway, after the service; i went on to do more research for my MM Fund, whereas the rest of my group members were still working except for Yi Chuin whom is still in Malaysia.

Just as i promise, the meeting took place but it was at Aaron's working place as he would end his work at 11pm. Like before, what we did was Ting Yu and I would go to his working place to discuss. So by the time i arrived at his work place, Ting Yu was already there and both of them were playing games in hope of killing their time waiting for me i guess.

Basically, what we have discussed are practically taken note of by me. I have listed out or 'rather what we have discussed' were on the changes that we have made so far after filming and facing of difficulties plus the solutions ; things we have done and things we have yet done. Not forgetting the goal we wanted to finish it by. I have already branched it all out and type it out onto the powerpoint slides which would be shown in the next blog.

During the whole discussion, i would say that Ting Yu was rather attentive while Aaron was still hooked onto his games, not letting his eyes blink even a second. But anyway the objective of this meeting had been met, due to the fact that all points to be in the slides were taken note of and furthermore, they [ points ] were abit similar from the previous powerpoint slides in Interim Assessment 1 & 2.

Luckily for me, I managed to explain to Aaron what we had discussed and i would definitely explain all the pointers that we have discuss to Yi Chuin the very next day.

Aaron volunteered to beautify and design the slides, saying that my design of the slides looked pretty weird and awful as well. Anyway, since he volunteered, i must say my work load has lessen or so YOU thought.

In the end, i was the one who has to beautify the slides again as usual. Thoughts to oneself : [ But i like it ]
After the discussion, we got back home and slept.

Take care

Remembrance Of ' WEIGHT ' loss

Just as dawn breaks, i opened my little eyes to find out i have woken up late in meeting up my friend for a church event. How pleasant is that? Finding yourself in the midst of a church event and here you are still lying on the bed. I really hope she wouldn't mind about this.

Anyway, we didn't have any group discussions today again due to the fact that Yi Chuin was in Malaysia and both Ting Yu and Aaron were working. But deep down in my heart, i really prayed real hard that at this very moment or even in the evening, Aaron would be editing the video as now our very lives depends heavily on the film and the film is on Aaron's hands.

Indeed, like i have mentioned before that we need the edited video in order for us to begin animating the chi bi character and as well for the ending credits. But i believe that Aaron is able to do it; just that he is being way too lazy but with the determination being implanted and embedded into his mind, i believe he would be able to do a brilliant job.

Jia you Aaron; you can do it!

Now as i speak again, the Interim Assessment 2 is drawn closer to me, it is like being implanted into my head where i couldn't get it out of my mind. The worst scenario that it is on Tuesday. Now, even in doubt, i'm not really sure if Aaron is editing the clip. I am getting really stress and furthermore, i have my MM Fund to stress me even more.

Talking about this, reminds me that i have lost a total of 6 kg throughout the whole year. So sad..

Don't worry guys we can do this.

At least now you know the reason why i entitled this post [ Remembrance of 'weight' loss ].

I took the initiative for a meeting and called up both Ting Yu and Aaron to meet up tommorrow. I didn't call Yi Chuin as i believe that she would be exhausted having to just travel back from Malaysia.

As you can see this post is quite short. Anyway, back to the place of empowerment where dreams flies through places and comes to life.
You guessed it! I am going to sleep.
Never give up k.

Volunteers ANYONE?

Cool~! Remember in my previous blog where i mentioned that Yi Chuin only took images of both Ting Yu and my 2d art fundamentals art work? This time, Yi Chuin came exceptionally early to school just to take photos of Aaron's art work.

To Yi Chuin: Must be tough on you

She also took the initiative to ask Raj ( After Effects and Maya 'pro' ) for help, which is definitely greatly appreciated by me for the hard effort that she had contributed in.

As usual, after my MM Fund ended, i headed down to the 2d animation room where it could be seen clearly that Ting Yu had began doing the credits. She drew stick mans on every frames which serve as a guide line where the more detailed and actual one would then be drawn once the sequel looks right. Anyway, i believed it wasn't that easy having to draw a stick man frame by frame with the purpose of making it smooth and as captivating as well.

Thanks alot Ting Yu.

Seeing the difficulty that Ting Yu was facing, i, myself tried to find an alternative where it would be much easier having to draw the stick man frame by frame. So what i did was to actually embedded a video to flash and draw it frame by frame ; using the video as my guide line. Indeed, it was tough too; having to trace the body outline out with a brush using the mouse but i must say it is definitely easier than what Ting Yu was doing. However, due to the time constraint, my group members decided to forgo my idea as it would be irrelevant or rather out of point.

Here was the flash that i did:

[The actual one was faster than this]

We also managed to arrange the videos in order and of course cutting down irrelevant parts of the clip. However, it was still too long having approximately 16 minutes. So we may have to do something about this.

Not long after, i was rather distracted due to the fact that i saw my group members gathering around Kevin. He was actually showing them photos that he took during the cos fest, which was brilliant and remarkable indeed.

This was just a shot that i took when my group members gathered around him, being mesmerised by the awesome cos play:

After the distraction was over, we headed down to the canteen to eat. Guess every human have to fill their empty stomachs once a blue moon arrives. Just kidding.. Every time i believe. I know i am being pretty lame but i actually took images of my group members eating.

Here is the evidence:

I found this angle to be rather unusual and nice as well.

Yi Chuin was rather camera shy. She didn't want someone to take photo of her eating.

Back to the point; after making our stomach full, filled with nutrition and minerals as well, we headed back up to the 2d animation room where i just continued the flash that i had mentioned at the top while Ting Yu continued drawing the stick man frame by frame and Yi Chuin had the intention to finish off her Stone animation in the 3d animation room.
However, things didn't come out as smoothly as the Maya software was expired and thus resulted to the delay of the stone animation.

Soon, the clock strikes 4.30pm. All the MOI-ers were to be gathered in LT 24 where two 'speakers' could be seen, answering any question that we acquired. But one sad thing was that the two speakers were more specialised in video or rather more focus on video than on animation.

Anyway, once the talk was over; the cute Mr. Ronald requested for recruitment of volunteers to help out in the Diploma show.
Guess what! Only nineteen people volunteered. Sad case once again.

Anyway, after that, Ting Yu had to set off to work and Yi Chuin had to leave for Malaysia. So i was the only one left with Aaron. Indeed, i was pretty frustrated with him ( Aaron ) at that point of time; due to the fact that he was playing games instead of editing the video. Not to mention the fact that it was today where i had supposed to return the equipments which was overdued. I even go an extra mile to get the equipment- list form so as to loan in again.

The thing that angered me, was the fact that i had renewed the equipments umpteen of times and when i just asked him to get a lecturer to sign the form, he even got the guts to say i was selfish. Man i couldn't believe what i was hearing. Anyway, due to my weird character; my anger soon died down.

The next thing that angered me was the fact that when we borrowed Jing Yu's camera to upload our video to the computer, this time round Aaron was playing games with Jing Yu. I had nothing to say about him. But it seems like his lackadaisical behaviour is coming round to haunt him again.

We crucially needed the finalised edited video in order to animate the chi bi characters but due to his attitude we had to delay this. Is it our fault? So unfair.. Anyway, i had to make a move, and so i left.

Really hope all things turn out well with the help of my Heavenly Father. Anyway, i got to sleep le. Take care k

'Trapped' in a LIFE Time

As soon as my MM Fund lesson ended, i headed down to the 2d animation room.

Indeed, i felt glad having to see Ting Yu beginning to animate the girl whom was supposed to blink her eyes. She also asked some of our 'classmates' for opinions on how to improve and make the girl look better. I gave her my honest opinion that the girl's left hand looked abit weird.

Having to correct it myself, i must admit; it was really tedious having to do it realistically with the use of perspective and proportion as well. Luckily, Kevin came to the rescue which made the job so much easier with his comments. There it was, NOW the girl looks perfectly normal. I was pretty amazed that though there were setbacks faced but she ( Ting Yu ) was still able to complete it in a jiffy.*She, herself also agrees*

Anyway, by the time she had completed animating the girl, Yi Chuin came along with some of our images of our 2d art fundamentals work and brought along our sketch books. I took photos of my sketches, Yi Chuin and Ting Yu follow suit. Yi Chuin said that we may add photos of our sketches in the part where some of our scenes which may seemed boring or even cover Aaron's sian face at one of the scene to perk things up.

Just then, the worst news was heard! Actually, it was also our group's fault having to film our 2d artwork but we didn't manage to bring it to it's original place and another group as well. Therefore, we rushed up and brought it back to level 5 and at the same time, after putting the 1m painting, i went to take photos of my sketch book again.

Due to the weight torment, we were hungry and went to Mensa to eat. Guessed what! I ate salmon fish. My FAVOURITE man.. Indeed, the weather was cold and i felt like sleeping. Man.. I really envy my cousin as she got 4 months of holiday. Poor thing (for all of us)..

We then went to the 3d animation room where we wanted to film the part where Ting Yu would tear out the last image of the detailed drawing that she drew during drawing essentials' scene and Yi Chuin would showcase her work on the computer. However, the screen wasn't clear and the lighting was off. So we waited for Aaron as he knows how to adjust the computer. What we could do was to wait for Aaron and we bought an extra tape as well. COOL hur..

But this time when Aaron arrived, we went to search a mac computer instead as it would surely look much better than just any normal computer. We tried searching for an empty room or rather a room that was more quiet and we finally found one. We managed to film the two scenes that i had mentioned earlier. It was indeed tough as the first take was when Ting Yu had to tear off the last page of the detailed drawing and placed the page in front of the computer. I must say that particular shot was to be film correctly and without any mistakes due to the fact that once the page is torn, it couldn't be torn again.

The scary thing was, i was the one who took that particular scene. I was very worried in fact. I also took the scene where Yi Chuin showcased her 3d work and i zoomed into her 'cone' animation. Aaron gave a helping hand due to the fact that when it is all the way zoomed in, it looks pretty weird and furthermore the scene was rather shaky due to my unsteady hands. We also took Yi Chuin flipping the images of Ting Yu running. It looks good.

Good job for both Ting Yu and Yi Chuin.

By the time we completed both the scenes, it was already nine plus. So we headed back to the 2d animation room to get back our belongings.

The worst news arrived. When i tried opening the door, it was lock. I panicked so badly that my heart nearly popped out and wanted to go into my stomach due to the fact that i had morning lesson in the morning and all my things were there.

I felt that my belongings were so pitiful having to be trapped in that dark room.

First thing that came to mind was to find the security guard where he holds the key to our 'freedom'. So we searched for the security guard. Finally, we managed to find him. The funny thing was when the security guard asked us to wait for him outside the 2d animation room, Yi Chuin actually thought that the security guard wanted us to follow him and sit on the mini- van ( white colour thing ) . She was indeed thrilled having able to sit on that white thingy in once in her lifetime. You should have seen her expressions. It's like as though she had met her Mr. Right.
It was hilarious indeed..

Not forgetting that Ting Yu had shown us a song as well.
It was a Japanese song and like what Yi Chuin had mentioned in her blog, when Ting Yu first heard this Japanese song, she can visualised it with our ending.

Good job Ting Yu, it seems like you are really putting your heart and soul into this project.

Anyway, i too, felt that it would be a little off, having to suddenly put a japanese song out of the blue for our credits. But we shall see how things go. Basically, we still left editing, animating the chi bi puppet and many others too.

By the time i headed home, i switched on my computer, Ting Yu , Yi Chuin and i made an online conference. Ting Yu was explaining to us that the sudden Japanese song at the end wouldn't be weird due to the fact of 'me n u= jap + song + anime + chibi = SCP members'

This was the equation that Ting Yu came up with and rebuking or rather telling us a good reason. to think we actually accepted her reason.

LOL.. anyway, i got to sleep now. Tatar..

A Moody Day - Indeed

Didn't know why but it seems to me that today was called THE MOODY DAY. Here is how the story unfolds:

The day begins as smooth as a baby's bottom. After my MM Fund lesson ended, i headed off to the 2d animation room where i saw Yi Chuin ( one of my group members ). We decided or rather our mindset totally just sank to the thought of filming the flipping images of Ting Yu. Both Ting Yu and Aaron were not present then. Yi Chuin and I tried to think of a solution as to how we are able to make the video into images instead. I also gave suggestions as to how to film the flipping pages. Indeed, we faced some problems having to import the video into flash. Mr. Ronald and some of our seniors helped out and it was a success.

To Mr. Ronald and Seniors: Thanks for your help. It was appreciated.

Now, we were thinking how do we film the images when it is flipped.
Mr. Ronald was at the scene and even helped us. He drew some examples onto the video where the page would flip. [ err.. E.g. he drew the page with an opening ]. Upon seeing that, both Yi chuin and I agreed that it was a fantastic idea but not forgetting that it would surely take alot of our time having to draw the flipping pages. So we are still in consideration about this idea.

To Mr. Ronald: Thanks for your help once again

Slowly, Ting Yu and Aaron soon arrived. We told them our suggestions. Now the problem was which images to select as we decided to flip the real image as in to print it out. Ting Yu, being good as to see the sequence, she selected the images that we needed to print out and Aaron assisted her. After the selection of the images, both Yi Chuin and I headed down to print the selected images. I volunteered to cut the images and seeing another scissors; I think if another person would to help me cut, it would definitely speed up the process.

But seeing both Ting Yu and Aaron playing games again, i handed the scissors to Yi Chuin and indeed- it sped the process, which i am thankful about. However, after cutting the images, we decided to film where Yi Chuin would talk about both 2d and 3d animation.
Thank God... Finally, the 3d animation room was available.

When we arrived there, i believe Aaron was kind of getting tired and slept on the table while the rest of us proceeded to film Yi Chuin. Both Yi Chuin and I felt that Aaron was feeling moody due to the fact that he wasn't talking much which wasn't like his usual self. Anyway, things took to a nasty turn, when it was Ting Yu's turn to become moody. This time i really meant moody, as her actions were quite obvious. But first, we headed down to the 'MOI' project 1 room where we saw Andrea and Angie. They were designing their character.

Not wanting to waste time, we film the part where the photos were to be displayed onto the tables. After that we set off to KFC. This was when the 'Moody' atmosphere came in. While we were walking towards KFC, both Aaron and Ting Yu were walking super fast and way in front of Yi Chuin and I. While we were eating, Ting Yu was super quiet. We asked her why she was quiet and she replied : " I am always quiet. " and there it was, we knew that something was wrong. I mean it was quite obvious anyway. I was thinking whether it was my fault as i had asked her to eat and both Yi Chuin and Aaron were surprised that we were eating instead of 'eating it out'.

This time, when we headed back to the 'MOI' project 1 room, Ting Yu actually drew some images onto the white board which depicts loneliness. She even cried in the toilet i believe, as i noticed that her eyes were red. The atmosphere back then was indeed weird. We went to the 2d animation room and saw Sholleh there- all ALONE by himself. Anyway, we filmed the part of the door for the introduction, where we took a long shot, then closer one, then to the closest one. I asked permission of David whom was there doing his work that whether i could turn of the lights. Haha.. I am not sure why they needed the room to be so dark that Aaron even asked Yi Chuin and Sholleh to use the boards and cover the small window on the doors.

Man! It was damn dark.

Sholleh even used the boards and fan all of us. I must say that time i really felt like a model. Thanks alot Sholleh. Haha.. There it was, the security guard asked us to leave again. So therefore, we had to part.

Oh ya, the ANSWER to Yi Chuin's doubt: We make the door open so as we can transit it to the flowy journey. Lol..

Yi chuin later told me that she wasn't really satisfied with her take due to the lighting issues so we may have to re shoot it again..

[ Extra Noose- Ting Yu also drew an image in flash of a big rabbit all alone and several other rabbits gathering around at a corner - depicting her feeling today ]

Hmm.. I was wondering why she felt this way. Even Yi Chuin was wondering why as she was moody out of the blue. Anyway, Yi Chuin opened up to me; saying that she was interested in photography as well- depending on what types of photos she will be taking.

A thought that came to my mind- I need to improve on my drawing man.. I think i depend alot on references. It's high time, i have to draw with my imagination and thinking..

So to end this moody blog, i really hope we all will not be moody again as it will really affect the whole production and scenes as well.

[To Group members:
I hope everything will turn out well. Do hope that our emotions won't run us down.]

Take care Everyone

Hoodies! Let's GO!!

I wasn't as unlucky as Ting Yu but I really hate to wake up early. I have to attend MM Fund. Anyway, after my lesson had ended, i headed down to the 2d animation room where we ( Yi Chuin, Ting Yu and I ) continued to do the stop motion of the mannequin but this time, also with the help of the string.

It really looks as though it was moon walking. However, it became a mess towards the end. Indeed, our mood soon died down or rather became tired as even with the help of the string; it was still tedious having to adjust every move of it and not forgetting that it has to be a sequence.

With the help of Aaron's idea, he actually said that we may even draw and animate the puppet onto different mediums such as the chalk board, white board and also the black board which will indeed make it more appealing i believe.

One thing funny was- how do we find a chalk board. Aaron suggested that we go to a primary school and use it which i find it really unnecessary and furthermore, it would definitely be troublesome having to ask the permission from the school and so forth. So we forgo that idea.

Inspired by Aaron's idea and with the help of another Japanese music clip, Yi Chuin suggested that we draw the mannequin frame by frame where we actually hold the frames and take photos which is more clearly explained in Ting Yu's blog. One thing for sure, we decided that the mannequin wouldn't be dancing anymore, instead it would be walking and may even fall down. Bearing this in mind, we ( Yi Chuin, Ting Yu and I ) would be thinking of the moves that the mannequin would be doing, at home. Ting Yu would be more in charge of the thinking. Just as you guessed it, we have to do this scene tomorrow. Let's see how things go.

Not wanting to waste our precious time just like flowing water, we immediately set off to take the scene where everyone of my group members were to talk about MOI project 1 using their 2d art work as the background. Off we went to level 5 to bring the paintings down. We had to film Ting Yu first but she was afraid and pretty unprepared as she wasn't used to talking in front of the camera. She took this opportunity and practiced talking to the camera with me alone whereas Aaron and Yi Chuin were practising and trying to memorise their lines.

Finally, we managed to capture Ting Yu in her cutest and lovely voice. It was successful. Following next, it was Aaron's turn. Seeing his shirt, we were rather inspired and told him to press the start button on his shirt. What a splendid opening for him. I must say i was rather impressed of what he said and furthermore, it only took like one take and his scene was clear.

The time has come, now it was my turn. I wasn't really sure what i have to say as my lines were to be revised. I took all my courage and just said what i felt during MOI project 1 and there it was, my shot was over. Now it was Yi Chuin's turn. It was really tough having to film her as many unnecessary noises were heard at the background and some inconsiderate people, knowing that we are filming, still kept on shouting which resulted for us to take many takes. We also tried experimenting different angles.

In the end, everything was done. We also took Yi Chuin's painting and paused it there for like 10 seconds so as we can animate it pulling down the credits. Not to mention that both Aaron and Ting Yu were sitting in front of their paintings.

Wanting to rest so badly, we except Aaron headed down to KFC and obviously eating KFC's food. We then started conversations about life. They were wondering why they were born into this world. At times, i really hope i wasn't born in this world. Anyway, our conversation continued and then we started telling jokes.

Here is one joke to test your BRAIN.

Here it goes:
Imagine if you were in a tiny room where the four walls have no windows and any opening at all. There is a tap where the water is flowing and you have to try to escape and survive as you will drown once 3 minutes is up. So anyway, you will be given five things to try to find a solution to survive.

Here are the five things:

  1. A sponge
  2. A rock
  3. A pail
  4. A scissors and
  5. A paper.

So what will you do?

If you were going to tell me, that you will be using the rock to break the wall, i must say you are also creative but sad to say the answer was to just turn off the tap.

Did you get that right?

Anyway back to my supposedly boring blog, after our jokes and conversations about life ended, we headed back to school and went to the 2d animation room. Still unable to take Yi Chuin's scene as the 3d animation room was still locked due to the presentation.

Guessed what, we saw Sholleh- a funny human and Raj- a potential and good husband (So what are you girls waiting for? Go grab him! )

* he is being grabbed already *

To Raj: Thanks for tricking me that MM Fund has assignment. You nearly got me there and just for your information i really went to check the note teacher gave us.

Anyway, sad to say Raj left earlier. But no worries, i still had my group members with me and Sholleh as well.

" Thud Thud" the footsteps of the security guard could be heard. He chased us out of the room. How could he? LOL.. The security guard was more like a security dog, like as though he was going to bite us soon. But i must say he really did a good job in chasing the students out of the room.

Not to mention that it was only today that we all are wearing hoodies. So yup.. You guessed it we went to take photos for souvenirs ma.. Can't blame us i guess, we are too vain. Nah.. Just kidding. We even managed to pose as power rangers and even took photos in the dustbins.

How funny is that?

Here is the photo that i took from Yi Chuin's blog:

To see more you can see it at her blog.

But anyway, we had to part sadly. My dad fetched me home..

YIPPEE!! Thanks dad for fetching me home.

Time to rest.. ZZZzzzzz

Shaken of the DANCE moves

Sad to say, early in the morning, I had already encountered difficulties with my MMFund exercise. Ting Yu was kind enough and came up to level six to help me. After that, we headed down to the 'MOI' project room. We showed our mounted photos and further discussed and concluded as to which photos to be used.

Today, our objective or rather what we intended to accomplish was to film the mannequin dancing right beside the credits and of the door as well. Indeed, we got some reference for the dance moves. However, we were not really satisfied with it. Hence, researching on the dance moves again. We went to this website which was www. newgrounds.com and managed to find this amazing clip entitled "O.N.E". It was a dance battle between a mannequin and a puppet. I must say it was truly AWESOME.

Here is the link: CLICK ME

We also managed to see a clip where a human being actually dances like as though his bone is so soft. Pretty scary though but definitely superb! He can dance very extraordinary!!

I believed it was through his dance clip that influenced Aaron and Ting Yu to try standing on their heads. Crazy but Cool!
Not to mention that we also had intentions to film Yi Chuin in the 3d animation room but it was still occupied so we have to postpone filming that particular scene.

It was settled. At least now we know what the mannequin would be doing beside the credits. But the problem has yet to come. We have forgotten that it should only be one minute long and the dance moves were quite long I guess.

If you were to enter the link that I had mentioned earlier, the mannequin actually dances with many styles such as popping and even 'ballet'. I initially suggested that the mannequin may dance lady-like. However, my group members said it was really tedious to follow the exact dance moves of the clip so we forgo that idea. Seeing the ending part of the clip, we intended and finalized to follow 30seconds before the ending. After finalizing the moves, we headed down to the bookshop and I bought 2 black a3 mounting boards for the stage for the mannequin to dance. But it turns out to be that there wasn't enough space. We had completely forgotten that the mannequin was supposed to dance on the left. So we ended up using the a2 mounting boards in the 2d animation room. Gosh~! My money just flew away like that.

Anyway, Ting Yu, Yi Chuin and I did the stop motion of the puppet and I must say it was really tough. Just one wrong move or if the mannequin changes its position would break the sequence. However, when we got to view it in the camera, it was cool. I left the 2d animation room for awhile and send my MMfund assignments to Mr. Sam on the 6th level. Both Yi Chuin and Ting Yu continued the stop motion and it somehow turned out weird, closer to the end. Ting Yu suggested and volunteered to bring black strings to tie the joints of the mannequin so as to control it better.

So we then decided to just try out the scene of the door as we were the only ones left in the 2d animation room. We placed the animated door on the computer screen and off the lights to see if it would look nice. It sure looks nice. Thanks to the help of Aaron where he actually adjusted the don't know what of the screen.

After we had tested the scene of the door, we headed back home and along the way, i saw a red car driving past the pillar which was kind of weird. I think it may be due to my tiredness and lack of sleep that made me have these illusions I guess. But upon hearing this drastic and terrifying news from me, Aaron could actually say that the ghost would haunt me. Thanks a lot ah...

We had further discussion online where Yi Chuin told us what Lecturer Wahidah had replied in the email and mentioned that she seems like she has been repeating the same answer over and over again.

There it was... My time to sleep.

Generating of Ideas ( Part 2 )

Likewise again, we didn't have any meeting and group discussion today.
The moment i woke up, i got ready to set off to church. My family and I went to church early in the morning at 9 am due to the fact that my brother will be having his english test paper the next day.
The message was indeed strong and powerful. Each time i attend the church service, i would get to learn and pick up something new.

After attending the church service, i went over to my Ah Gong's house where i continued to generate some more ideas for my MMFund. It was stressful indeed. Having to think on a supposingly 'RESTING' day.

It was only at night when we had a discussion through online conferencing. We were discussing and confirming of which photos would we be using when being placed on the table. Aaron suggested using the photos that were mounted for photography so as to serve to display what we had done during photography. However, i felt it would look abit weird with a black border around the photos. hmm.. (Let's try out and see...who knows it may turn out well? ) At the same time, Yi Chuin was sending an email to Lecturer Wahidah about our schedule of what we will be filming on for tomorrow.

To YiChuin: Thanks for your help and sorry to trouble you again.

I also tried motivating and psychoing my group members that we will get our filming done by Tuesday. It is commonly known that it is the thought that counts. For my case, it was the thoughts that give us an empowered and ongoing drive to individuals with a determined mind and goal set in our heads.
Hope this motivation thing would help.
Everyone seems moody and tired as well.

[ Reminder: To bring the mounted photos ]

Word of encouragement: We can DO It!!
Take care people

Ideas Anyone?

Wah!! By the time i woke up, it was already 3pm. Watched cartoon shows as usual ; Martin mysteries- Superb and funny cartoon. I really felt that the emotions are displayed pretty realistically in a way and at the same time, applying the principles of animation.

Today, our group didn't have any discussion and meeting as well.

The reason being

  1. Yi Chuin wasn't here as she had gone back to Malaysia
  2. Ting Yu had to work at 3pm ( Exactly the time when i woke up )
  3. Aaron had to work too
  4. I had to think and generate ideas for my MMFund

And there it was, the day of relaxation or So you Thought. I actually had to crack my brain, thinking of how to make a portfolio website. Luckily for me, i managed to glimpse through some sites which made me inspired and of course in a way helping me to generate ideas.

[ Secret..... For me to know and for you to find out ]

*Just Kidding

I actually thought of me, blowing out the word 'UNIQUELY ME'. Upon pressing the word, it will explode and my main page would appear. It could then be seen where i would be holding a piece of paper and my rollover buttons would be there. Eg: About Me, My Works, Achievement and ETC... and so forth...

Still thinking of my flowchart and of what to write and type in for the description of About Me.

But one sad thing is, i think my ideas are too AMBITIOUS and COMPLICATED.. Not sure if i have the time to complete it though.

Wish me ALL THE LUCK
God bless
Eyes getting heavier
